Dr. Jennifer L. Hopp is a highly respected and admired physician, having been in practice for over seven years with a diverse array of expertise in all areas of sports medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies from Grand Valley State University, and a post-baccalaureate pre-med program at Georgetown University. Dr. Hopp later earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Dr. Hopp joined HCA Virginia Sports Medicine following her completion of a Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine, during which she served as Team Physician for Rice University and George Bush High School. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, and is board-eligible for her Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine (CAQSM). Dr. Hopp is also certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. In keeping current with the latest developments and advancements within her field, Dr. Hopp’s professional memberships include the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
