Earning an Associates Degree in nursing in 1991 from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, she began her career. Then, in 1995, Karla earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. To provide her patients with the best care, she holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Specializing in cardiac nursing and teaching, she maintains a professional membership with the Mississippi Nurses Association, whose mission is to promote registered professional nursing practice through advocacy, education, research, and partnership.
Karla takes pride in helping new nurses learn how to be the best for their patients, yet takes the most pride in that her son is now in nursing school, working hard to achieve a degree in one of the most noble professions.
