Dr. Jianjun Gao is a highly respected and experienced internist, having been in practice for over two decades. His career in medicine began in 1997 when he graduated with his PhD in Molecular Immunology from the University of Kansas in Kansas City. After medical school, Dr. Gao completed his Medical Degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, in Kansas City, followed by his residency with the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. Driven to further his expertise and knowledge, he undertook his fellowship at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Gao is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has dedicated his life to delivering compassionate care. He is determined to enhance his patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results. With a passion for his work, Dr. Gao is noted for his expertise in internal medicine, acute care, and critical care.

Among his many achievements, Dr. Gao is the recipient of many awards including the Physician Scientist Award from MD Anderson Cancer Center (2017), the First Annual APRN Fellows’ Choice Award for Outstanding Faculty Preceptor from MD Anderson Cancer Center (2016), the High Impact Clinical Research Support Program Award from MD Anderson Cancer Center (2016), the Damon Runyon Clinical Investigator Award Finalist (2015) and many more.
