Dr. Dad is a board-certified radiation oncologist who is recognized for his expertise in stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and proton beam therapy (PBT). He is in practice with Annapolis Radiology Associates in Maryland, serving Anne Arundel Medical Center and the Maryland Proton Treatment Center in Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Dad received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology with Honors and his medical degree (MD) from the Boston University School of Medicine. Following his medical studies in Boston, he was awarded the United States Fulbright Scholarship to study cancer in South Asia. Additionally, he served as an Albert Schweitzer Fellow to conduct volunteer work in underserved communities of the Greater Boston region.
He completed his transitional year internship at Tufts University-New England Medical Center in Boston, followed by his residency in radiation oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. As a resident, he was elected by his peers to serve as Chairman of the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO), where he helped lead the ARRO-ASTRO (American Society for Radiation Oncology) Global Health Initiative. He also serves on multiple ASTRO committees, including: Best Practices, Corporate Relations, Disciplines of Leadership Course Development, International Education Committee, and SBRT Practice Parameters.
A rising leader in radiation oncology, Dr. Dad has authored and co-authored numerous scientific articles, presented his research in medicine and science internationally, as well as remains active in global efforts to maintain the highest quality of radiation oncology services to all populations.
Radiation oncology is a medical specialty that involves the controlled use of radiation to treat cancer. It is one of the three primary specialties, the other two being surgical and medical oncology, involved in the treatment of cancer. In 2019, Dr. Dad helped launch an Affiliate Partnership with the Maryland Proton Treatment Center, to help bring this novel tool to treat select cases where proton beam is medically necessary to optimally deliver radiation dose and also spare adjacent critical normal tissue. Dr. Dad is adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology.
He is fluent in both Spanish and Urdu.
