Throughout his eighteen years of practice, Dr. Osman and accrued extensive expertise in advanced spinal endoscopy and least invasive spine surgery. Dr. Osman currently serves his patients as both the founder and head physician at Sky Spine Endoscopy Institute in Frederick, Maryland.
After earning his medical degree with honors at the University of Nairobi, Kenya, in 1977, Dr. Osman completed his post-graduate fellowship at Case Western Reserve University and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and National Board of Physicians and Surgeons.
As an internationally-recognized physician, Dr. Osman is passionate about the minimization of surgical trauma, hence his focus on endoscopic spine surgery for his patients. He finds true purpose and fulfillment in witnessing his patients’ increased quality of life, knowing that neck and back issues can interfere with a person’s life, no matter the level of pain.
To stay up to date on all medical advancements in his field, Dr. Osman maintains a professional fellowship with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery. Dr. Osman is a founding member of the International Society of Endoscopic Surgery. Due to his outstanding achievements, Dr. Osman has earned many awards for his dedication to excellence in his field, including The Kambin Foundation Annual Award and Best Resident Research Paper Award by the Ohio Orthopedic Society. Dr. Osman has pioneered several spinal endoscopic procedures and has patented several cutting-edge technologies.
