Dr. Hantus is a tri–certified Neurologist with over a decade of experience in his field. He currently practices with the Cleveland Clinic Epilepsy Center, where he is additionally the Director of the cEEG and epilepsy consult service.

Cleveland Clinic is one of the largest and most respected hospitals in the country. Their mission is to provide better care of the sick, investigation into their problems, and further education of those who serve. They are a nonprofit multispecialty academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education.

Dr. Hantus completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 1996, where he was part of Phi Beta Kappa. Furthering his education he graduated with his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine in 2003, where he was a part of Alpha Omega Alpha. After obtaining his medical degree he completed his internship with the MCG Health. He then completed a three-year Neurology residency and one-year clinical neurophysiology fellowship with the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Hantus is tri-certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Epilepsy Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Additionally, he has published extensive articles and book chapters.

The mission of the ABPN is to develop and provide valid and reliable procedures for certification and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists by: Implementing state-of-the-art testing methods to evaluate candidate and diplomate competencies; Applying available technologies and information to collect and analyze pertinent data; Communicating and collaborating with training programs, residents, candidates, diplomates, professional and health care organizations, and the public; Supporting innovative educational and research programs relevant to psychiatrists and neurologists; and Operating internal programs and services effectively and efficiently.

Dr. Hantus specialty interests in the interpretation of continuous EEG monitoring in the critical care setting. The use of quantitative EEG and continuous spectral arrays in the critical care setting. Status epilepticus.
