Now Care Pain Relief Center brings a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management and care for patients who have been injured at work, involved in an auto accident, and suffer new or chronic discomfort. All of the chiropractic doctors in the Wilmington, Bear, and Dover offices have years of experience with spinal adjustments and spinal manipulation. They always strive to make sure their patients feel 100% comfortable and 100% satisfied.

Dr. Armando B. Gonzales

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Gonzales attended Louisiana State University. He then earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri in 1992.

Having been in active practice for over 20 years. Dr. Gonzales has earned the following certifications throughout his career: National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, 1993; Superficial electromyography, National College, 1994; Disability & Impairment Ratings, North American Academy of Impairment Rating Physicians, 1995; Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, University of Bridgeport, 1996; Manipulation under Anesthesia, University of Bridgeport, 1999; Manipulation under Anesthesia, National College, 2004; National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners, PACE, 2013, National Registry#: 3325599225.

On a more personal note, Dr. Gonzales enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time with his 3 daughters; Gabriella, Sofia, and Juliana.

Dr. Todd Bogos

A chiropractic physician, Dr. Bogos specializes in a remarkable, non-surgical, non-epidural, drug-free treatment of disc conditions, stenosis, and chronic neck and back pain, known as Disc Decompression Therapy. He also conservatively treats migraine headaches, neck and arm pain, acute and chronic injuries, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Salisbury State University and Stockton State College, Dr. Bogos received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University School of Chiropractic. He also received a diploma in Chiropractic Physio-Therapeutics from the National College of Chiropractic with a focus on management of patients with serious injuries and the use of modalities in the chiropractic office, and is certified in the Essentials of MRI.

Thereafter, he completed his outpatient residency in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. He also studied Athletic Training while at Salisbury State University, where he received his Athletic Coaching Certification. During his coaching training, he took his Little League team to two consecutive championships. He has also held the position of team chiropractor for the Professional Baseball Organization, the Atlantic City Surf.

Throughout his 24 year career, Dr. Bogos has had an active interest in improved function and health. In his practice, he has emphasized the need to see the back and joint patient as a whole person with lifestyle, nutritional, and stress factors as important components in successful care. He works closely with the medical community and feels that medicine and chiropractic offer patients complementary care for spinal conditions.

Dr. Debra Kennedy 

Dr. Kennedy has been a chiropractor in the state of Delaware for over two decades. She is dedicated to delivering effective care that provides patients with outstanding results minus the complications and risks that often accompany surgical procedures.

Before receiving her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Georgia in 1998, Dr. Kennedy studied at the University of Delaware. She also received a diploma in Chiropractic Physio Therapeutics from the National College of Chiropractic with a focus on management of patients with serious injuries and the use of modalities in the chiropractic office.

Specializing in health and wellness, Dr. Kennedy is committed to providing patients with considerable pain relief for many conditions, such as, but not limited to: neck pain, low back pain, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, work related injuries and motor vehicle accidents. She also gives patients the educational tools necessary for the prevention of relapse and to achieve optimal health.

Dr. Erik Camac

A New Castle County, Delaware native, Dr. Camac completed his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Delaware. He then graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida campus. While at Palmer, he focused on wellness, nutrition, and rehabilitation with a focus on patient care and seniors. 

Throughout his training, Dr. Camac has completed many additional elective courses in modalities, extremity adjusting, and is certified in Activator Methods. In addition, he has passed all four parts of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the Physiotherapy examination. 

Dedicated to making an impact into the health and wellness needs of the community that he serves, Dr. Camac truly enjoys traveling, all sporting activities, both watching and playing, and was a Delaware State champion soccer player. He also enjoys spending his time with family outside of work, in nearby New Castle and Chester Counties. 

Dr. David Shmukler

Dr. Shmukler maintained a private chiropractic practice in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania for 20 years. He has extensive postgraduate training in neurology and worked with Dr. Martin Mandel, a medical neurologist. He has also practiced in Southern California and co-authored a “diet” book titled ” Outsmart Your Fork”. 

In his free time, Dr. Shmukler enjoys lifting weights, running, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Daniel Rufus

A 2017 Palmer College of Chiropractic graduate, Dr. Rufus completed his undergraduate degree at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. While attending Saint Ambrose, he played football and was a part of the track and field team. He competed in the indoor and outdoor national championships 3 years in a row and is still the school record holder in the hammer throw. 

Since graduating from Palmer Dr. Rufus has really enjoyed working with prenatal and pediatric patients as well as athletic injuries. Having been a competitive athlete his whole life, he has a comprehensive understanding of how these injuries occur and how to best treat them. His techniques are enhanced by the additional training he has in extremity work. 

In his free time, Dr. Rufus enjoys golfing, playing basketball, being outdoors, working out, and spending time with friends and family. He is excited to work with patients in every phase of life, whether they were just born or have great-grandchildren, and to instill a sense of healthy living in the Bear community.
