Karim Touijer, MD, FACS, Urologist at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, has been named a 2018 Top Doctor in New York City, New York. Dr. Karim Touijer is a very experienced urologist who has been in practice for over 26 years. His career in medicine started in 1992 when he graduated from the Faculte de Medecine de Casablanca, in Morocco. After moving to the United States, Dr. Touijer completed an internship and then residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. He then completed a further residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Driven to further his expertise and knowledge, he undertook his fellowship in urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Touijer received a Master’s in Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
Dr. Touijer is board certified by the American Board of Urology, and he provides expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of conditions, and for patients of all ages. He is particularly renowned across New York and beyond as a specialist in the treatment of genitourinary cancers, including cancers of the kidney, prostate, bladder and adrenal glands.
Dr. Touijer is known for his use of the very latest minimally invasive surgical techniques, including robot-assisted laparoscopy and image-guided surgery, and this can help his patients recover from their operation more quickly.
