Dr. William F. Columbus is a highly respected and experienced surgeon, having been in practice for over two decades. His acclaimed career in medicine began when he graduated with his Medical Degree from Pennsylvania State University. After medical school, Dr. Columbus completed his Ophthalmology residency at Nassau County Medical Center in Long Island, New York. Driven to further his knowledge and expertise, he went on to undertake his Cornea and Refractive fellowship at the Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, where he specialized in laser vision correction.
Dr. Columbus is laser certified with Summit Apex Plus, Nidek EC 5000, VISX Star S4, and Allegretto Wavelight excimer lasers, and he has the distinction of being the first resident in his program to perform laser vision corrections. He has since performed more than 20,000 LASIK procedures, and is committed to delivering the best outcomes possible to his patients. Dr. Columbus remains a distinguished member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery.
