Iria is a Registered Nurse (RN) who is currently serving patients at White Glove Community Care, Inc., located in Brooklyn, New York. White Glove Community Care has a history of providing home care services since 1997. The agency was established to address the needs of individuals at home who were either recovering, disabled, chronically/terminally ill, or in need of nursing care and/or assistance with the essential activities of daily living. The agency also works with the BOE to provide services for pediatric patients who need assistance while in school. After working several months in home care, Iria was selected to work for one of these BOE patients becoming then a 1 to 1 BOE nurse. While working for White Glove, Iria’s gained experience mostly on pediatric patients with G tubes and Vents.

When asked why she chose a career in nursing, Iria answered that since she was a young girl, she had a desire to be a doctor/nurse. As she got older, her desire grew stronger and she knew that she wanted to help people and make a difference.

Iria received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Vigo in 2013. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2014.

Iria is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS -not intended for postnominal use).
